When we were in London a couple of weeks ago we tried the one star Guide Micheline gastropub Harwood Arms in Fulham. I took a few pics and thought I’d share them with you. It was a cozy place, like a traditional English pub that has gotten a facelift. I might have had a little too high expectations on the food though. Everything was good, and nicely presented and the wine list was suuuuperlong (luckily we had Oscar’s friend Oscar with us and the two Oscars picked out a great red one) but where was that little extra that served them a star? We fell short of that.
For starters I had the buttered cornish crab on English muffin and a glass of English sparkling. For the main course I had a pork dish, it was quite delicious and a lot of food.Oscar was not as happy with his.“I need more wine.”The cozy interior.Taxi back to the hotel, took foreeeever. Also a reason why one might not choose Harwood Arms. Fell asleep in a food coma but managed to snap a pic of a twinkly Harrod’s.
Today I will try to study as much as possible (focus Sandra, you can do it!) and tonight me and Julia are going to the opening of Levantine’s boulecafé. Crossing fingers that the weather will be nicer!
