A Sunday with brunch & art shopping in Saint-Germain

Man får passa på och njuta!).Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

Fortfarande supervarmt i Paris just då.

Translation: I'm sitting in the couch and I just said goodbye to Oscar who's traveling ot South America for work this week. I thought I would work a bit on my portfolio but also show you some snaps from another Sunday not long ago. We went to Saint Germain and La Hune/yellow korner, a really nice bookstore/photographic art shop. We found a few gems that I'll show you soon. After that we took pics of the Eiffel tower, went to an architectural museum and cooked Sunday dinner. Sundays are the best! What are your Sunday faves?

Breakfast in Paris – Laurent Favre Mot

Processed with VSCOcam with hb1 presetHej Fredag och första april!

Ajaj kapten!

Hello Friday and first of April! Since I came out of the entrepreneur closet yesterday (I didn't want you to take it as a (boring) April fools joke) I switched around the posts a little so here you have a Breakfast in Paris one to wish you a happy Friday!

A couple of weeks ago me and my friend Edith tried out a special patisserie here in So-Pi called Laurent Favre Mot. We were there on a Sunday and wanted to eat the cheeseburger-cookies but on Sundays they only serve brunch. We did not mind and we also got to be served by Laurent himself, a charming, hipstery bearded guy with a strong franglish. He explained to us that we could ravage the buffée with cookies and sweet bread and he would serve us different brunch dishes the kitchen would come up with. He basically spared us the agonizing act of choosing what to eat.

I'm also gonna start serving my croissants in a moped helmet.

Mmm.

We got American pancakes, scrambled eggs and triangle sandwiches as hot dishes.

Breakfast in Paris – La Maison Bleue

It's Thursday and finally back to habits. This time we did a Breakfast in Paris - La maison Bleue edit! We meet up at the restaurant that lies in the 10th arrondissement at Place Franz Liszt, very close to my school. The Sunday brunch at this place has a very good rep, but what about breakkie during the week? We tried it for ya!

Oscar usually waits for me here on Fridays when he comes from Luxemburg and my school ends at 7 pm.

Och inredningen är väldigt mysig! / The decor is super cozy.

I actually had both the first petit dej menu and an extra Granola. I don't do weel on just croissants 😉

Mmmm!

Glada frukostfolk! La Maison bleue får två tummar upp 🙂 Happy breakfast club peeps! La Maison bleue is approved 🙂

Birthday and breakfast in Paris!

Hello from Paris and the birthday girl! Yes, I'm turning 29(!) today. Whew, I'm getting older and wiser. This had to be celebrated with a breakfast at Café Marlette with Andrea. A super cozy place with yummy breakfasts and fresh lunches in the 9th. Free wifi too. Great!

Got lovely flowers and a present from Andrea, iiih I just love birthdays!! Hopefully there will be a little bit more of the celebrating during the weekend when Oscar comes. Right now I'm however dead as a doornail and on my way to bed. Friday evening can't come soon enough. Night!

Breakfast in Paris – Café Pierre

Hej torsdag!

What a morning! Came out in the kitchen this morning on my way to the gym (yay, #goals16 still going strong!) and our chaudière leaking. Had to mop up the water and put a bowl underneath it while contacting our landlord. So a little bit later than planned, but here is this week's Breakfast in Paris!!

Andrea had sniffed up this cosy place called Café Pierre, just by Place de la Republique. The interior is cozily extravagant and feels somehow very French. We ordered the Petite dejeuner Parisien for 8.90€ but you could also get the complet or nordique one, where they added boiled eggs + bacon or boiled eggs + smoked salmon. We were however a little disappointed in the breakfast, the yogurt (which was very sour) came in its little plastic container and to that we got just a croissant. No, this place is probably better to go to during the evening, for a drink or a glass of wine with friends - just to enjoy the ambiance and all of the decorations.

Breakfast in Paris – Obladi Café

Hej torsdag!

Hey Thursday! The first Thursday back in Paris should be celebrated with a Breakfast in Paris-post right? RIGHT! Me and Andrea went to the very hyped Obladi Café in Maris to try their avocado sandwich. Mmmm. This is what the very hipster friendly café looks like:

Me and Andrea was as usual the jury. Big cravings for Avocado toast.

Avokadosmaken försvann liksom lite i skymundan.

Spoiler: it looks better than it tasted 🙁 The pomegranate added was yummy but the rest tasted more lika guacamole than avocado. It kinda hid the avocado taste. And the waiter was a perfectly uninterested guy, that really loved playing loud rock music early in the morning (according to their instagram it's part of their "thing") so meh... You can skip this toast. But probably totally fine for a coffee and a piece of cake in the afternoon.

Breakfast in Paris – Season in Le marais

It's Thursday and breakfast in Paris time! And yes I did survive Tuesday's final critic, I've just been buzy celebrating the fact that life has come back to me. And ironically a cold came too (classic). But whatever, I'm FREE and yesterday me, Jamie and Megan celebrated that with pancakes at Season in Le Marais.

#breakfastinParis, Breakfast at Season in Marais. #dempancakesFab interior huh? I loved it! Simplicity and a little ruggedness combined. We sat by at table close to the window, wich was really nice but a little bit cold (our only remark).
Very friendly staff helped us with the menu in both English and French. We got coldpressed orange/carot/ginger juice. (Good for a cold)

Can really recommend Season, it was perfect for brunch and very popular for lunch too!

After the brunch I headed out on town to do some Christmas shopping. More about that later today. I have a few things to cross of my list before heading home on Saturday (Yaaay!) so better get going. Wishing you a nice Thursday morning! Soon weekend, hang in there 😉

Breakfast in Paris – Café Petite

Bonjours mes amis, it's Thursday and it means breakfast in Paris! Today it was Andrea's turn to pick a place around the Republique area and we met up at Café petite. This place actually serves breakfast all day, good to know for breakfast lovers or brinner (breakfast for dinner) advocates.

We chose the Petite dejeuner menu, which included bread with jam, freshly pressed orange juice, pain au chocolate, a hot beverage, and a cute little egg cake (don't know the real term for it?) which was super tasty and savory.Breakfast in Paris

Breakfast in ParisMmm so good!

Breakfast in ParisBig windows gives you plenty of view of the people passing by, a perfect relax and people watching place.

Breakfast in ParisTypical French rustic interior.

Breakfast in ParisLove the red chairs contrasting ot the red and white facade.

Breakfast in ParisThis was also a fun detail, you can order a Café aux lettres = you write a letter while you drink your espresso and they post it for you. Very nice touch! Perfect place to go to if you want to eat a very French petite dej with a little extra. Does anyone have a breakfast place to recommend in Paris? Feel more than welcome to share. Wishing you a happy Thursday!

Breakfast in Paris – Le Pain Quotidien

It was one tired breakfast in Paris lover who got out of bed this morning. I think you can see that from the photo haha. But as always, a yummy breakfast out is the best way to start the morning! I put my coziest, fluffiest sweater on and met up with Andrea at Rue des Martyres, one of my favorite streets here in the So-Pi area. If I get to stay in Paris after my diploma is done, I want to live around this area. They were putting up big christmas trees decorated with gold and red bows in the little square just outside of the café.

This street has a lot of breakfast places to try, but this time we decided to check out Le Pain Quotidien, somewhat the French equivalent to Starbucks. It was a little christmas decorated and not too crowded.Breakfast in Paris

Breakfast in Paris

Breakfast in ParisCute rustic interior and free wifi. Perfect Coffice.

Breakfast in ParisThey have a breakfast menu for 10.20€ where you get an assortment of organic bread and their yummy spreads and jams, either a croissant or pain au chocolat, a hot beverage and fresh juice. Breakfast in Paris

Breakfast in ParisThey had a fantastic white chocolate spread you have to try!! A little bit sweet but tasted just like the real deal.

The staff was friendly and helpful, maybe a tad slow in taking orders (it's been the same in all Quotidiens I've been to, they seem to be a little understaffed) and they played soft christmas music in the background. All in all a relaxed and nice breakfast place, and you could also add eggs and granola to your petit dej if you want. Recommended!

Breakfast in Paris – Poutch

Our breakfast in Paris quest continues! This week we tried another place at Rue Lucien Sampaix in the 10th (where both Holybelly and Bob's juicebar also lies) called Poutch! It's a vegetarian friendly café with a cozy mid century furniture goes hipster vibe and most important: they have a breakfast menu.
Breakfast in Paris - Poutch

Breakfast in Paris - PoutchExplanation of the breakfast menu set up. They also offer lunch!

Breakfast in Paris - PoutchLove this little tree in a jar. They sell them further down the street.
Breakfast in Paris - PoutchCozy lamps!

Breakfast in Paris - PoutchI chose the mini granola, freshly baked baguette with jam (still warm!) and a clementine/apple/orange juice. Andrea had the big granola and a hot chocolate.

Breakfast in Paris - PoutchAndrea is ready to dig in! (I always make people wait a little because I'm taking pictures, can be a torture sometimes when you're hungry haha. Sorry!)

Breakfast in Paris - PoutchLooks cozy and inviting! The staff was very friendly (spoke perfect English) and they have wifi and you're more than allowed to stay here and work (as opposed to Holybelly, where they specify they don't want people lingering after eating). Coffice for the the win!
